17:8. وہ کھرا ہُؤا اور اِسؔرائیل کے لشکروں کو پُکا کر اُن سے کہنے لگا کہ تُم نے آکر جنگ کے لئے کیوں صف آرائی کی ؟ کیا مَیں فلِستی نہیں اور تُم سؔاؤل کے خادِم نہیں ؟ سو اپنے لئے کِسی شخص کو چُنو جو میرے پاس اُتر آئے ۔

17:8. Goliath stood and called to Israel's troops, "Why do you come out to prepare for battle? Am I not the Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose for yourselves a man so he may come down to me!

17:8. Goliath stood and shouted a taunt across to the Israelites. "Why are you all coming out to fight?" he called. "I am the Philistine champion, but you are only the servants of Saul. Choose one man to come down here and fight me!

17:8. And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

17:8. He stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, "Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.

17:8. And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set [your] battle in array? [am] not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

17:8. And he standeth and calleth unto the ranks of Israel, and saith to them, `Why are ye come out to set in array the battle? [am] not I the Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose for you a man, and let him come down unto me;

17:8. Each day Goliath would come out and shout a challenge to the Israelite soldiers. He would say, "Why are all of your soldiers lined up ready for battle? You are Saul's servants. I am a Philistine. So choose one man and send him to fight me.

17:8. He stood and cried to the armies of Israel, and said to them, Why are you come out to set your battle in array? am I not a Philistine, and you servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

17:8. And he stood H5975 and cried H7121 unto H413 the armies H4634 of Israel, H3478 and said H559 unto them, Why H4100 are ye come out H3318 to set [your] battle H4421 in array H6186 ? [am] not H3808 I H595 a Philistine, H6430 and ye H859 servants H5650 to Saul H7586 ? choose H1262 you a man H376 for you , and let him come down H3381 to H413 me.
